Edelbrock are manufacturing speed parts. Vic Edelbrock founded the company in 1938. Vic designed his first Manifold when he bought his first hot rod roadster. Also known as the slingshot. The Manifold allowed him to install two Stromberg 97's instead of one.


Vic Edelbrock Jr.

In 1962 Vic Sr. passed away, and his son, Vic Edelbrock Jr., took over the company.[2]


The Torrance headquarter shuts down in 2021

Early in 2021 Edelbrock announced that they are shutting down their California headquarter in Torrance after being based in the state for more than 80 years. The closure of the Torrance facility will affect the 270 employees who work there, which includes people in sales, advertising, research and development, testing, and manufacturing sectors. Early in February of 2021, it was not clear how many employees that would move to the two Edelbrock Foundries locations in San Jacinto, California.[3]
