12.04.2022 - East Coast Survivor Hot Rod. 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Originally hot rodded in New Jersey 1959-1961. Street raced until 1969, then taken apart and stored in a barn until 2005. Mostly old original patina with cracked lacquer paint. Channelled about 6". Motor recessed. A badass hot rod that is a blast to drive. 12.04.2022 - Nelson LaFrancis' 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Originally hot rodded in Agawam, Massachusetts in 1955 and 1956. The car was put away in 1973. It changed hands in 1983 and was restored in 1993 - 1999. The body was channeled 7 inches over the frame. The frame was Z'ed front and rear, and the grille was shortened 2 inches. It runs an extended aluminum hood and a ZZ4 small-block 345 hp Chevy engine with a T-350 automatic transmission and floor shifter. The suspension is a homemade true 4-wheel independent suspension that Nelson fabricated back in the 1950s. 10.26.2022 - Bob Wilson's 1932 Ford Pick Up. Chopped and channeled. Finished in Cadillac Sierra Rose lacquer. 03.23.2022 - Mike Young's 1933 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Rodder's Journal cover car built by Lee Pratt. Built in a late 1950s - early 1960s style, the car is powered by a 1953 Cadillac 331-inch engine. According to Lee, it was one of the cleanest bodies he had seen in a long time. Steve Dennish at Limeworks built the chassis using a set of American Stamping rails. Lee chopped the top 3 1/4 inches front and rear before Richard Glymph painted it in a color based on the popular 1953 Buick Titan Red color. Vernon McKean upholstered it in leather tuck and roll. Powered by a Jim Cook rebuilt 1967 Chevrolet 327ci V8 with a slightly larger cam that was paired with a performance four-speed GM 700R4 Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a Ford nine-inch rear end. 03.01.1964 - Leon Kendrick's 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe of Houston, Texas. Known as the Wild Deuce," Kendrick's coupe was featured in several magazines back in the days. It featured an all chrome running gear, was powered by a full house Corvette engine, and Leon advertised it for sale for US $2,495 in Hot Rod Magazine March 1964. 2,495 dollars in 1964 are equivalent to 20,765 dollars in 2020.
