Kjell Trellevik of Bergen, Norway. In 2017 Kjell told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama that he always has been fascinated by restyling things. Everything from bicycles and motorcycles to cars. He began his automotive career by fooling around with some Volvo PV's and cars like that. Kjell lived in Gothenburg, Sweden from 1959 to 1961. While he was there he had a Lincoln and a Ford Crown Victoria that he was fooling around with. There were some mildly restyled cars around when Kjell lived in Sweden, and that was how he got into hot rods and customs. He began restyling the car, he had big plans and began shaving it for chrome, but he didn't have the time to do much before he moved back to Norway. In 1961 or 1962, after returning to Norway Kjell bought a 1940 Ford Coupe that he hot rodded. Prior to the Ford, he had a Volvo PV.
After reading about a hot rod and custom club in Oslo called Nor-Way Custom, Kjell got in touch with Per Arne Knudsen and decided to join the club. Kjell and Per Arne Knudsen became friends, and they used to visit each other.
Being an automobile-painter by trade, Kjell has also done a lot of airbrush-painting.
