Bakersfield Motor & Boat Show
Motor and boat show produced by George Barris. The first annual Bakerfield Motor & Boat Show was held in 1958.[1]
Bakersfield Motor & Boat Show 1959
The second annual Bakersfield Motor & Boat Show was held November 26 - 29, 1959 at the Kern County Fair Grounds. The show was sponsored by the Road Barons Car Club of Bakersfield, California. The show was produced by George Barris. His wife Shirley Barris was the show's Manager. Jim Urner was responsible for the publicity, Ted Robart for the advertising, and Joe Henning was art director.
As an attraction during the show, hourly motion pictures were shown for spectators.
