Nick Cozzitorto's 1952 Ford F-1 Pickup. In 1952, with barely 100 miles on the odometer, Nick brought the pickup to Gene Winfield at Winfield's Custom Shop for a full custom treatment. In 1956 he returned for more work, and Winfield, sectioned, channeled, and reworked the front of the car amongst other changes. Dan Vierra bought and restored the truck. The restoration made its debut at the 2020 Sacramento Autorama featuring a beautiful Maroon paint job by Gene Winfield.
Nick Semeniuk's 1953 Mercury M100 truck of Courtice, Ontario, Canada. Nick bought the truck in the fall of 2013. Wanting to turn it into a period-correct late 1950s custom, he started restyling the truck in 2018. The build was completed in March of 2020, featuring a red and gold scallop paint job.
Martin S. Papazian's Cordster of Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in the early to mid 1950s, the car was sold in 1978. It then fell off the face of the earth and was considered lost for almost four decades. In April of 2020, it finally surfaces outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Late January of 2021 Gene Winfield released a book about his racing days titled Gene Winfield's Racing Days Scrapbook. The American Speed Shop: Birth and Evolution of Hot Rodding is a 192-page book that tells you the story of the era and the culture of speed shops as told through individual shop's histories and compelling vintage photography. Henrik Forss' 1930 Ford Model A Coupe of Sacramento, California. Henrik's Coupe was originally built by Jorel Shockley at Shockley Customs. Henrik bought the hot rod in 2021, gave it a makeover, and turned it into the Hollywood Howler.
Marco Hämäläinen's 1975 Saab 96 of Orimattila, Finland. Known as the "WaSaabi," the bubble topped show car was a father and son project that got out of hand. The build was completed in the spring of 2021.
Peter Sukalac: Photo Journalist is a 132-page book that collects interviews, essays, and a showcase of Sukalac's photos into a fascinating snapshot of one photographer's career. Authored by Albert Drake, the book was published July 6, 2021. Click here to check price and availability on Amazon.com.
The first Gasoline Revival and Kustomrama Invitational was held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Grängesberg in Sweden.
Ian Cusey's 1932 Ford Roadster of Bell Gardens, California. Ian was a member of the LA Roadsters car club, and he bought the car from Don Streiff. Jamie Johnson at Hot Rod Haven restored the car for later owner Bob Owens of Wellington, Texas. The restoration was completed late in 2021.
Jon Grinager's 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe of Farmington, Michigan. Grinager acquired the Coupe in 1956 during his sophomore year at Farmington High School. What began as a school shop project soon became a local hot rod masterpiece. Years later, the car lay dormant for three decades after a 1980s restoration attempt that ended in heartbreak. However, its legacy was rejuvenated by Jon's nephews, Tanner and Logan Kucharek, who had it restored and showcased at the 2022 Detroit Autorama, where it clinched three awards. Amidst its revival, whispers emerged of its alleged ties to the Alexander Brothers, an iconic Detroit customizing duo. The quest for this connection remains alive, seeking evidence to validate these legendary claims.

The 12th Coupe Devils Rod & Kustom Bonanza was held June 17-19, 2022 at Bruvollen in Blaker, Norway.
The second annual Gasoline Revival and Kustomrama Invitational was held Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Grängesberg, Sweden.
Kustomträff 2022 will be held August 27, 2022 by Torch It! Car Club in Frövi, Sweden.

Coby Gewertz's 1934 Ford 5-Window Coupe of Redondo Beach, California. Known as "St. Christopher," the coupe was built by South City Rod & Custom. The build made its debut at the 2023 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California.
Cody Walls and Erin Lynn's 1949 Buick Sedanette of of Dover, Delaware. Cody runs the Traditional Metalcraft shop where the car was built. Named the E-Job after Erin, the car made its debut in 2023.

Jesse Orozco's 1956 Chevrolet - Memory '56 of Salinas, California. Inspired by Lanny Erickson's 1956 Chevrolet, the build took more than 20 years to complete. Once completed, it made its debut at the 2023 Grand National Roadster Show.
Dave and Sue Wright's 1959 Chevrolet Brookwood Station Wagon of Poole, United Kingdom. Known as "The Headhunter," Dave and Sue found the car at the Pomona Swapmeet in 2001. It underwent a transformative journey, starting with a green paint and a Metalflake roof. It later received an Air Ride kit and a striking panel paint job by Stylecraft Coachworks. The build was completed in 2023.
The 70th anniversary Detroit Autorama was held February 24-26, 2023 at the Huntingto Place in Detroit, Michigan.
The 16th annual Gene Winfield and Larry Watson Custom Car and Hot Rod Gathering will be held October 7, 2023 at Winfield's Custom Shop at 8201 Sierra Hwy in Mojave, California.
On January 23, 2024, the hot rod and custom car community was electrified with the announcement by renowned custom car builder and restorer Dave Shuten that the legendary "The Uncertain-T" had been found and that it now was part of the Galpin Auto Sports Collection. Lost for decades, this iconic show car resurfaced, much to the delight of enthusiasts and historians alike. Shuten's Instagram post revealed the excitement surrounding this discovery, sharing that the Uncertain-T would make its much-anticipated appearance at the 2024 Grand National Roadster Show and the Detroit Autorama. Arto Riip's 1937 Studebaker Dictator Coupe of Lieto, Finland. Named "Miracle," the car was restyled by Lumo Automotive. It made its debut at the 10th annual Kustom Kulture show in Helsinki in February 2024 and stands as a testament to the art of custom car modification, balancing historical preservation with innovative automotive design.
