Yankee Custom Parts
Yankee Custom Parts (YCP) was a custom shop located at Flensvägen 27 in Älvsjö, Sweden. According to an ad printed in Start & Speed No. 2-1966, the guys at Yankee Custom Parts experimented and tested their parts thoroughly before they stocked them.
It was Bo "Gamen" Sandberg who started YCP. He got help from friends especially Göran Silfors.
Bo initially wanted the name "Yankee Junk", but this didn't sound well from the States, so he changed the name.
Yankee Custom Parts could help Swedish custom enthusiasts with everything from design, construction and paint. Paint techniques included Metalflake, Candy, Pearls, flames, scallops, paneling and more. Two well known shop projects was the Purple Passion and the Wild Bird.
