Walt Christian's 1953 Ford
1953 Ford Convertible owned by Walt Christian of Brooklyn, New York. Walt's semi custom featured side trim made by 1956 Chevrolet and 1955 Oldsmobile components. The handles and unnecessary chrome trims were shaved away. Accessory fenderskirts with functional scoops were added. The hood was nosed, rounded and peaked. A 1955 Ford grille was fit in the stock grille shell. The bumper guards were remved for a cleaner appearance. The trunk was operated by electrical solenoids placed on the dashboard. Taillights from a 1956 Oldsmobile 98 were crafted to the rear fenders.[1]
