Tord Enström's 1954 Mercury Sun Valley - Green Mery

Green Mery is a customized 1954 Mercury Sun Valley built by Tord Enström of Enköping, Sweden. The car is notable for its mild custom modifications, blending traditional styling cues with modern upgrades, while retaining the classic lines of Mercury’s mid-1950s flagship model.
History and Modifications
Enström equipped the Sun Valley with a 302 cubic inch Ford V8 engine paired with an AOD automatic transmission. The car runs a rack-and-pinion steering system with power assist and dual-circuit drum brakes on all four wheels. To achieve its distinctive stance, the front suspension was lowered using shorter coil springs, while the rear was dropped with three-inch lowering blocks.[1]
The build also incorporates several subtle body modifications. The doors are operated using stainless steel door buttons from a 1942–1946 Lincoln, and the rear window pillars feature custom louvers. A recessed radio antenna was installed, and the car was fitted with handmade fender skirts that add to its sleek appearance.[1]
The Mercury is painted in a unique, self-mixed light green shade, while the roof is finished in Nile Green metalflake. The body is further accented by fine pinstriping applied by Swedish artist Mark Willhans.[1]
