Sture Torngren is one of Swedens most influential persons regarding Hotrodding and car/MC hobby.
As an editor for the Colorod Magazine, he was in 1973 asked to write an article about his own T-bucket Hot Rod.
The article was published i Colorod 10/1973.

After several mopeds and motorcycles in his younger years, Sture finally decided to build his own Hot Rod. A contributing factor was probably a ride with Bosse Edberg Hot Rod in 1966.

He used a fibreglass body from Yankee Custom Parts and bought rails for the frame in 100x60x3 mm from a shop in Stockholm.
Romours says that Sture then didn't own a car and tried to carry the rails on the bus home but got denied. So he carried them on his shoulders all the way to Danderyd walking!

The car was rather traditionally built using a smallblock Chevy engine and a Powerglide transmission. Om a junkyard he found a Corvair 1965 and took the rear end.
With some modifications it fitted well on the chassie.

The Powerglide was later exchange to a TH 350, according to Sture the car got 100+ horsepower!

The car was finally approved by SBP and TSV in 1968. It was not without several remarks and aspects from the scrutinize team.

Sture drove the car almost daily and was very satisfied with the performance and handling. The engine got upgraded by Sture using a 4-71 GMC blower on a homebuilt manifold. This was also published as a project in Colorod Magazine.

He sold the car in 2001 to Tommy Cougar in Nacka and it now belongs to Jan Eddie Eriksson in Sigtuna. It looks almost the same as in the 1960s.
The car is often seen at meetings like Hot Rod Reunion where it is tested by Jan on the Dragstrip.
