1956 Plymouth restyled by Bill Babb of Wirth's Body Shop for Ken Sowers of San Jose, California in 1958.[1] The profile of Ken's 1956 Plymouth appeared almost stock, giving no hint to the extensive frontal modifications on the car. The front was modified to accept a 1958 Buick grille. Canted quad headlights were made from 1958 Edsel inner grille rings used as headlight housings. The grille rings housed both the quad headlights and the parking and signal lights below. Large airscoops were cut into the front fenders. The hood was louvered and shaved.[2] The body was lowered by reworking the front springs and adding lowering blocks in the rear. Long lakes pipes and 1956 Oldsmobile Fiesta Hubcaps finished up the kustomizing. The body was painted in a conservative but glistening black with a few distinct scallops. The stock side trim was kept as it seemed to go well with the other modifications.
