Jim Jackson's 1956 Chevrolet
1956 Chevrolet 4-door Hardtop owned and restyled by Renegades member Jim Jackson of Compton, California. Restyling a car does not always has to cost a fortune, at least not when you're doing the work yourself. That is exactly what Jim did with his ride. He began by slammering the car to the ground by reworking the A-arms. He installed side stacks to bring it physically lower to the ground. He restyled the stock hubcaps by adding three-prong spinners and bullets, changing the wheel appearance. He also added bullets in each parking light centers. Next step was to move the hood ornament and fill the holes, ones it was done, he cut four rows of louvers into the hood. Final step Jim did was to install the dual spotlights. The most important touch was done by Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style, Jim contacted him to do the paintwork. Larry highlighted the front by surrounding the grille and headlights with bronze scallops outlined in white. Three teardrops were extended aft along the top of the fenders and hood. The rear license plate, taillights, and top corners were accentuated with scallops as well.
