He was caught and followed up with a 1951 Ford engine connected to a Fordomatic transmission. The drive shaft was spliced into a 1940 Ford truck rear end. Dual exhaust from a Dodge truck were installed. Taillights from a 1939 Ford were installed. inside, Frank replaced the stock seats with 1938 Chevrolet bucket seats covered with red plastic, the cluster gauges were 1940 Ford units. The 1952 Ford brake pedal operated the hydraulic brakes from a 1940 Ford. To give the car a slight rake forward, Frank ordered and installed a three inch dropped Dago axle. According to Frank, the most important piece on the car is the 1918 Klaxon brass horn that he found in his garage.[1]
