Don Roach's 1949 Pontiac
Don Roach of Reseda, California's 1949 Pontiac Convertible was restyled by the Ayala Brothers. The car features a Carson Top which was installed after the windshield and windows had been chopped 3 inches. The door handles were shaved and replaced with push buttons. Tail lights from an Oldsmobile 98 were placed in the rear fenders above the exhaust tips that were routed through the original holes of the Pontiac tail lights. Both headlights and grille were frenched, and the gravel shields are chrome plated front and rear.
Front coil springs were cut to lower the car, and in the rear the frame was kicked up.
The interior was done in black and white leather, and featured hand controls for Don, who was paraplegic.
