Don Lee Body Works was a custom coachwork shop part of the Lee empire which included Cadillac distributorships and sales outlets in Los Angeles and San Francisco, radio stations in five California cities and other enterprises. The Body Works did more than just straighten fenders for the Cadillac agency as it was an outgrowth of the Earl Carriage Works. Harley Earl worked for Don Lee before he headed for Detroit to begin the General Motors Art and Colour Section.[1]
