A photo of Herb Passburger's 1950 Mercury that Ken took in the parking lot of the White Castle in Brooklyn in 1962. "That's where we used to hang out. It's a mild custom, nosed and decked, with a 1949 Oldsmobile grille, and painted a dark brown. It might have been an original factory Merc color, but one of my faves. One of the few cars that anyone actually "finished" back in those days!'" Photo from The Ken Bausert Photo Collection.

White Castle in Brooklyn was a hang out place for local hot rodders and customizers back in the 1950s and the 1960s.
