Vern LaCoursiere's 1949 Ford coupe. The Ford was Vern's first car, and he bought it and restyled it in 1957, when he was 19 years old.
Vern LaCoursiere's 1950 Ford convertible. The Ford was Vern's second car. Restyled in 1959, all work was done by Vern when he was 21 years old.
Vern LaCoursiere's 1953 Mercury of Tacoma, Washington. Vern was a member of the Tacoma Toppers, and the Merc was his third car. Dressed up with an all-white Mexico Upholstery, Vern gave the car a Candy Purple Panel Paint Job in 1960 when he was 23 years old.

Vern LaCoursiere is a member of the Tacoma Toppers car club of Tacoma, Washington. Vern rode the bus to school during high school, and he couldn't wait to buy his first car after graduation so he could join the Toppers; "I had so much respect for the Toppers, they were THE club."[1]


In the 1960s, Vern became a co-producer for the Seattle Roadster Show.[2]
