Gary Ameling's Ford Model T Bucket
Ford Model T Bucket owned and built by Gary Ameling of Toledo, Ohio.[1] About 1970 Gary worked as a parts puller at Keystone Auto Parts in Toledo. Phil Alloy's grandfather, Abe Leibovitz, started Keyston during the great depression in the 1930s, and in 2019 Phil told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama that Gary kept telling him about this hot rod he had built at his house..."and one day shows up at with this great Hemi-powered bucket T. He built it from the ground up. I found out later he was a master welder and wrought ironworker and had built his own eco-house, partially underground to save heating costs."[2]
Gary was one of the founders of the Toledo Area Street Rods club, and in 2019 he still owned the Model T. Painted black with more traditional flames the car was by then known as "Gypsy Spirit."[1]
