The Louie LaBossiere Photo Collection

This photo from the Louie LaBossiere collection shows Louie LaBossiere's 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe. The coupe was originally owned by another White Bear Lake enthusiast named Gordy Kordowsky. Gordy bought it in South St. Paul, and it had already been chopped when he got it. Louie bought the Coupe in the late 1950s, and he did still own it in 2012. This photo from the Louie LaBossiere collection shows Dick Hanson's 1934 Ford Coupe in front of the National store in White Bear Lake. Dick built the coupe at his dad's body shop, Hanson's Body Shop. Louie LaBossiere is a hot rodder from White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Back in the 1950s about 3,500 people were living in White Bear Lake. It was a small town, without any hot rod or custom car clubs, there were a handful of cars though, and luckily for us Louie LaBossiere documented most of them with his camera.
