Strokers of Baldwin Hot Rod Club
The Strokers was a hot rod club from Baldwin, Long Island, New York. The club was in existence in the 1950s. In 2018 Harry Donnelly's little brother, Dennis Donelly, told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama that the club built their "Strip Tripper" dragster in their family garage at 258 West Seaman Avenue in Freeport; "As I recall, the project started in the winter of 1956 and continued on through summer. The car set the track record at Westhampton Drag Strip, Long Island. What was highly unusual about the dragster was its independent rear suspension - probably the only time this was tried on a dragster!"[1]
