1955 Oldsmobile Hardtop restyled by Herb Gary of Gary's Auto Body for Steve Scrivani of Valley Stream, New York. Steve drove his stock Olds over to Gary's Auto Body in Sea Cliff for some minor custom work and ended up with a semi-radical custom. Gary convinced Steve to transform the car into a radical car, Steve could not resist the temptation of owning a one-of-a-kind custom, so he gave Herb green lights. The handles were discarded and the doors were operated by solenoids. Both bumpers were discarded and Herb roll panned both the front and rear end. The car was nosed, decked and dechromed. The headlights were deeply recessed and the original seal beam units were exchanged in favor of Lucas lamps. The bucket seats originated from a 1961 Pontiac. The parking lights were flushed the antenna was deeply tunneled. The grille combination was made from 12 feet of rolled steel and copper sheet The front belly pan was handmade as well. According to Street Rodder January 1976, the custom made taillights were made from 1956 Packard lenses, however, in Car Speed and Style July 1961 the taillights were 1960 Chrysler units. The rear wheel wells were reworked to match the style. Once the bodywork was done, it was painted many coats of special mixed Candy Apple blue lacquer. Chromed wheels wrapped up the style.
