Stan's Bantam was featured on the cover of Street Rodder March 1981.
The Bantam did also appear in one of Dave Bell's iconic cartoons.

1939 Bantam originally owned by Stan Betz. Stan purchased the Bantam in 1955. In 1962 he started to build it into a custom sprinter, installing a brand new 1962 Chevrolet 4 cylinder crate motor that he hopped up. Larry Licon restyled the body, adapting a 1932 Ford windshield to the cowl. Stan mixed the custom candy paint colors and Paul Knierim applied the beautiful yellow and blue candy paint job. Von Dutch did the striping and Don Edmunds, longtime sprint car builder fashioned a pair of aluminum bucket seats, and the car was turned over to Whitey in Seal Beach to trim the interior.[1]

Sold to Bill Hebal

Featured on the cover of Street Rodder March 1981, Bill Hebal of Door County, Wisconsin bought the car from Stan in 2011. After enjoying it for nine years, Bill decided to sell it off in 2020.[1]

Sold to Richard Tupper

Bill sold the car to Richard Tupper and it went back to California as part of his large collection.[1]
