Scott M. Birdsall's 1936 Dodge
1936 Dodge built by Scott M. Birdsall. Scott started this project with an old $300 basket case truck he found on craigslist. Scott has chopped the body 7" and channeled it 7" as well. The wheelbase is stubbed around 40 inches in the back, and stretched 40 inches in the front.
The old Dodge has been equipped with a 60 over 460 cubic inch ford big block with a blueprinted holley 750 and a Weiand stealth intake. The zoomies are 2 1/4 inches and have 4" motorcycle baffles in order to make it a little less horryfying than running open pipes. The motor also sports a lumpy comp cam, Mallory unilite ingnition and a really noisy set of Pete Jacksons gear drives.
Front suspension consists of the stock '36 Dodge truck front axle assembly with custom made radius rods and buggy spring.
The stance on Scott's truck is perfect. The stretched front, and the shortened model-A bed gives the car a catoonish look. The wheels are from a 1941 Dodge truck in the front and from a 2005 ford E350 van in the rear. Tires are Firestone whitewalls, 650-16 in the front, and 750-16 in the rear.
This old worker is propably retired from all kinds of farm work in the near future.
Scott's Dodge was later sold to Speedkills Autoservice of Germany.
