Richard Rough 1949 Chevrolet
1949 Chevrolet Club Coupe owned and restyled by Richard Rough of Ohio. This clean Ohio custom featured a 1954 Pontiac grille bar, the most popular bolt-on accessory in the mid 1950s. The hood was cleaned for its ornament, and the seam was filled. The door handles were shaved, and pushbuttons from a 1941 Lincoln was installed instead. The rear fenders were molded, and the stock taillights were shaved, 1955 Dodge Imperial units were mounted on the rear apron. Functional airscoops were made in the leading edges of the rear fenders, which featured chromed strap steel grillework to trim the openings. The license plate lights were removed, and a Hollywood license plate light was installed. Half moons were fit to the headlights, fenderskirts were installed, and a single spotlight was mounted on the driver's side. Once Richard was done with the bodywork, it was painted Sea-Foam green.[1]
