Phil Boza
Phil Boza was a customizer from Brooklyn, New York. He built a customized 1960 Chevrolet Corvette called the Bossa Nova (named after his last name). The car appeared on the cover of a custom rod magazine. Boza also had a purple 1959 Chevrolet convertible that was featured in magazines.[1]
Around 1963, Ray's friend Joe in Florida bought the Corvette from Boza.[1]
A man that Ray Soff met at the Dead Man's Curve car show in 2018 grew up next door to Boza in Brooklyn. "I used to see that Corvette in his driveway. That's what got me into customs." The man's family moved to Staten Island when he was 16, and he lost touch with Boza after that.[1]
