Nick De Simon's 1953 Studebaker
1953 Studebaker Coupe owned and restyled by Nick De Simon of Jersey City, New Jersey.
Chopped Top
Nick's Studebaker featured a chopped top. According to his brother-in-law, John Zotynia, Nick didn't cut the back window when he chopped it, "he dropped the back part of the roof, rear window, and deck lid into the trunk. Then he raised the inside of the quarters." When you opened the trunk there was very limited space, and no room for a spare tire, John told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in April of 2021.[1]
Supercharged Packard
Nick's Studebaker was powered by a Supercharged 289 Packard V8 engine.[1]
