1958 San Diego Autorama
In 1958 Mike's Mercury was shown at the 2nd annual San Diego Autorama. This version featured a grille made from 1954 Chevrolet vertical bars, 1955 Chevrolet headlight rims, and 1954 Pontiac side trim. The hood was scooped and the car was decorated by an unusual scallop paint job. A photo of the car from the show appeared in Custom Cars September 1959, and according to the caption all work on the car was done by Robbie Martinez.[1]
