Mats Wallander born 1960 is a car entusiast grown up and living south of Stockholm, Sweden.

From the age of 11, a great interest of Dragracing, Choppers, Hot Rods and Customs arised leading to numerous modified mopeds, motorcycles and cars.

In 1988, Mats bought a started Mats Wallander's Ford T-23 project from Kegny Karlsson in Kungsör.
The car was in parts but relatively complete and Mats succeeded to get it driveable and on the street in 1990.

He bought and renovated a 302" Ford engine and C4 transmission from Mikael Östberg and connected to a Jaguar rear end.
He participated with the car to SSRA Nationals 1991 at Gotland, 1992 in Falun and of course 1993 in Stockholm.

After a lot of hassle with the authorities, primarly for noise limits, the car finally got approved in 1995.

In 1998, the family grew, so next Hot Rod was Mats Wallander's 1938 Ford Tudor DL, bought by Stefan Johansson in Arboga.

The latest Hot Rod is Mats Wallander's 1934 Ford Roadster acquired 2018. Initially build by Jens Nybo in Denmark, imported and approved in Sweden by Jan-Olov Blomster in Fjärdhundra.
