1956 Fiat-Bartoletti Tipo 306 Race Car Transporter originally owned by Maserati. The truck was the Maserati factory racing team's transporter for the 1957 and 1958 season. Lance Reventlow acquired it for the 1960-1961 season. Reventlow sold it to Carrol Shelby's Cobra operation. Steve McQueen's Solar Productions team purchased it around 1969-1970.[1] Cobra and Scarab owner and collector Don Orosco eventually ended up with the transporter, buying it from the U-Haul family. Orosco had it restored in record time. The transporter wouldn't fit Orsco's booth, so Jesse Cruz painted it at Bruce Canepas shop. The restoration was completed just in time for the 2008 Monterey Historics.[2]
