1948 Mercury Coupe restyled by Barris Kustoms for Larry Robins of Beverly Hills, California. There have been published photos of the car unfinished, however, recently a small picture with text surfaced. The car was heavy customized with a chopped top and a modified 1949 Cadillac grille. car was nosed, decked and had it door handles removed to achieve a smoother look. The trim on the hood was shortened in able to make the rear end appear longer. The trim on the fenders were removed as well, and the headlights were frenched. The gravel pans were molded to the body, and the fenders were molded and leaded to the body, making the car almost seamless. The trim on the rockerpanels were not left alone either. Fenders skirts, spotlights and 1947 - 1952 Cadillac Sombreros wrapped up the style.
