Hillberg Ove Johansen did a story on the Merodder for Amcar Magazine in Norway. The story was published in Amcar Magazine Nummer 03 - 1995.

1949 Mercury owned and built by Larry Kramer. Known as "Merodder," Larry's Merc won the "King of the Mercs" award in 1994. "This was a two-year build," Larry told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020. "I built the Merodder when I worked for Spurlock at Gambler. Spurlock was Kenny Rodgers show producer."

After seeing the CadZilla and the Chezoom, Larry commissioned Larry Erickson to draw the Merodder. The build was started in 1992 and completed in November of 1993. Once completed it landed the cover of Hot Rod Magazine December 1993. It was also featured at the Hot Rod Magazine booth at the 1994 SEMA show. It was also a feature car at he Grand National Roadster Show where it won the Sam Barris Memorial Award.
