Hillberg Ove Johansen did a story on the Merodder for Amcar Magazine in Norway. The story was published in Amcar Magazine Nummer 03 - 1995.

1949 Mercury owned and built by Larry Kramer. Known as "Merodder," Larry's Merc won the "King of the Mercs" award in 1994. "This was a two-year build," Larry told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020. "I built the Merodder when I worked for Spurlock at Gambler. Spurlock was Kenny Rodgers show producer."[1]

After seeing the CadZilla and the Chezoom, Larry commissioned Larry Erickson to draw the Merodder. The build was started in 1992 and completed in November of 1993.[2] Once completed it landed the cover of Hot Rod Magazine December 1993. It was also featured at the Hot Rod Magazine booth at the 1994 SEMA show. It was also a feature car at he Grand National Roadster Show where it won the Sam Barris Memorial Award.
