Kee McKanna
Kee McKanna was a member of the Velociteers car club. In 1944 he was stationed at the old mud flats racing grounds of Muroc. He wrote the SCTA News suggesting that the runway would be good for future racing it Army permission could be obtained. He also told the readers of the newsletter that the last time he was home on leave he got his T-V8 running, and that seemed like old times. He had looked around for a little "drag", but they were hard to find. He had had a friendly "go" with Stan Walker of Pasadena and he had dropped a transmission. Then it really seemed like old times according to Kee. Kee's letter was published in SCTA News December 1944.[1]
