John Dietrich's 1951 Chevrolet
1951 Chevrolet hardtop owned by Chevs Venice member John Dietrich of Tarzana, California. John bought his 1951 Chevrolet in 1951. After a short while he drove it to Valley Customs for a custom treatment. The grille and front bumper were replaced by a 1950 Oldsmobile unit. The rear fender were extended 4 inches in able to install the 1953 Lincoln taillights. The rear bumper was replaced by a 1953 Dodge bumper. The stock two-piece windshield got exchanged for a Oldsmobile unit. The Exhaust were routed through the Kaiser bumper. The frame got Z'd and lowering blocks were installed, making the overall drop 6 inches. Air scoops were made in the rear fenders, using 1953 Mercury theets. Valley Customs also added dual spotlights to the car. Once the bodywork was done, John drove it straight away to Carson Top Shop for a full treatment of rolled interior of white and green Naugahyde. The cargot painted Bronze-cinnamon laquer.
