1949 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Short Bed Pickup. Approximately 8,000 miles on new 454 motor and 400 transmission. Custom aluminum radiator, Edelbrock aluminum manifold and carburetor, electronic ignition and custom-made headers. The transmission has a shift kit and tall T bar shifter. The front end is a Monte Carlo-style chassis with power steering and disc brakes. Control arm type. In the rear, the suspension is a leaf spring narrowed 9" Ford type 4:11 Posi with traction bars. The truck was lowered 6" inches all around to give it the SLAMMED look. The new custom Teak Wood bed appears original-looking.
