Hot Rodders

Hot Rodders are the builders, racers, and dreamers behind the hot rod movement. The term originated to describe young enthusiasts, mostly in Southern California, who modified their cars for speed and style. Rodders spent their time wrenching in garages, racing on dry lakes, and cruising the streets looking for action. More than just mechanics, they were part of a growing subculture defined by innovation, rebellion, and craftsmanship. Whether racing at El Mirage or showing off at Bob's Big Boy, rodders helped shape the golden age of American car culture.
