George Rice's 1939 Ford

George Rice from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania sent a picture of his neat 1939 Ford to the issue of Car Craft May 1956 requesting them to show it in their magazine. This 1939 Ford was the first car George ever owned, all work was done by him. The hood and deck lid were leaded in. George installed a pair of 1949 Plymouth bumpers and lowered the car four inches in the rear. George had hopped up the stock flathead with dual exhaust, 0.50 inch milled heads and a 3/4 Weber cam.[1]
