A photo of George with a 1949 Ford Hardtop he bought for the motor. He paid 50 bucks for the car. Installed the engine in a hot rod, and advertised the car for sale for 50 bucks. "A guy came from PA to buy the car," Ray Soff told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama. "He didn't want to take the car home, so he left him a stock 50 convertible."" The guy had George put the chopped top and glass in his car. George did the work in a week. "After a week he came back and drove the car to PA, leaving Geoge the rest of the body." George parted out the rest of the car. Photo from The Ray Soff Collection.
Known as "The Apollo," the second iteration of Egan's Ford was restyled in the 1960s.
