Frank's Hot Rod as it was featured on the cover of Hop Up And Motor Life Magazine November 1953.

1929 Ford Model-A roadster owned by San Jose Igniters member Frank Bertuccio of Mountain View, California. At first glance, Frank's roadster might have looked like a restored roadster pickup with neat custom tricks done to it. However, it was made to run fast as well! Featuring a 1948 Ford block, with 0.80 overbore running Weber cam, Evans heads and manifold ignited by a Harmon & Collins ignition. Gas was provided by three Stromberg carburetors. Zephyr gears were installed in the transmission, and the differential ratio was 3.78:1. The interior was done in black and red leatherette trimmed by a shiny stainless steel dash. Frank had installed both column shift and steering wheel from a 1940 Ford. Aluminum running board covers were made, giving the roadster pickup a flashy impression along with the marine mahogany bed floor. The car actually made the cover of both Hot Rod Magazine, and Hop Up[1]
