Coachmen of Kansas City
The Coachmen car club of Kansas City, was organized December 12, 1955 for the sole purpose of promoting and encouraging the sport of hot-rodding in the Kansas City area. The seven charter members who formed the club were Dale Urich, Don Urich, Jerry Price, Don Price, Don Lilleston, Bill Swenson, and Dave Doring. The club worked side by side with the Westwood Police Department, which provided the club with a meeting place and advices. The chief of police, Chesley Jones was also a member of the club. The club was a member of the Kansas City Timing Association.[1]
