Carroll Hamilton's 1961 Chevrolet Impala of Cincinnati, Ohio. Built in the early 1960s, the car, known as the "Elegant Empress", gained national attention after being featured in Speed and Custom December 1963. In 1963, Carroll had the car repainted by the Alexander Brothers in Detroit. The $500 job included a Candy Tangerine finish over gold, dash detailing, and matching interior accents.
