Byron King, Jr.'s 1952 Buick
1952 Buick Super Convertible built by Don Williams for Byron King, Jr. The car was also known as the Golden Sands Buick. Don strengthened and widened the frame to provide a solid working base. The body was then Channeled 8 inches. Don shaved the hood before he modified it to provide the base for an airscoop. The front fenders were also redesigned to fit the hood. The grille was constructed from 1953 Plymouth components, and the front bumper came from a 1952 Cadillac. The top was made of a 1952 Lincoln Capri roof that was cut and fit to the modified buick. The trunk was made out of a 1949 Hudson hood.
