The first hot rod Bob Morton ever owned was a 1928 Ford Model-A Roadster which he bought in 1947 for $440. He immediately began playing with it, starting by stripping the paint. The car was fit with a Gage Laden dashboard, 1940 Ford Standard steering wheel and a fancy upholstery.[1]
