Bob Kaiser ran and operated Clarkaiser Customs with his companion Ron Clark. Right after the World War II, around 1948, Bob had a 1940 Plymouth convertible. At a drive-in, while sitting in his Plymouth, he spotted a 1941 Buick convertible with a chopped top ad frenched doors that blew his mind away. He had never seen anything like it, and went over to talk to the owner. The owner was Ron Clark, and the two hit it off really good. The next day Bob started to chop the top on his Plymouth. He also frenched the doors, and more, just like on Ron's Buick. Bob had never done any custom fabrication before, so after many nightmare hours he went to a local body shop and got hired as an apprentice. The guys at the shop, thought Ron was crazy for doing such things to his car. He stayed as the shop as an apprentice for about 6 months. During his apprentice time he did everything he learned to his Plymouth. He took metalwork like it was a natural, and along with Ron's ideas he put his car together. The two fellows who owned Dearborn Speed Shop saw Ron and Bob's cars, and asked if they would like to come work for them. Both Bob and Ron was thrilled about the offer, and agreed to come work for Dearborn Speed Shop.[1]

Bob died August 30th, 2006.[2]
