A photo of Billy's Mercury that Ken Bausert took sometime around 1961 - 1962. "It was sitting in a wooded area in Centereach, Long Island, at one of his relatives' house, for a very long time. One day, we took a ride out there and spent hours getting it running but I don't remember whatever happened to it." Photo from The Ken Bausert Photo Collection.

1950 Mercury four-door owned by Billy Stein of New York City, New York. Billy lived in Richmond Hill, on 95th Avenue, between 121st Street and 123rd Street. The Merc was mildly restyled. It was dechromed, the rear door handles were removed, and it had been fitted with 1955 Ford taillights. The engine was the original flathead, and the car was painted orange. Ken Bausert was a friend of Billy, and he remembers that sometime around 1961 - 1962 the car was sitting in a wooded area in Centereach, Long Island, at one of his relatives' house, for a very long time. "One day, we took a ride out there and spent hours getting it running but I don't remember whatever happened to it," Ken told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2018.[1]
