1960 Chevrolet owned by Bill Scott of Lyons, Michigan. Bill and Dave Edmonds had been best friends since grade school. In 1960 they both bought 'vettes at the same time. The VIN numbers were in fact one number apart. They both wanted their cars painted alike, and they asked Jerry "Spider the Crazy Painter" Drake if he could give them a custom paint job. Spider refused, and told them the reason to have your car custom painted is that you are tired of seeing yourself coming down the road. Bill and Dave finally agreed, and Spider gave Bill's Corvette a scallop paint job, while Dave's Corvette received a panel paint job. Jerry liked both of the paint jobs. However, car show judges always picked Dave's car over Bill's.[1]
