Alan Kurth of Minot, North Dakota. In 1962 Ala started gathering parts to make a Model T with a 283 Corvette engine; "I had bought the T for $1. It was a 3 door sedan, which I planned to use the fenders, running boards and other parts to construct a turtle deck roadster out of. I bought the 283 4 barrel Corvette engine for $50, including camel hump heads, and Corvette valve covers. It ran very good, no overhaul needed. I bought the engine and transmission adapter for a 1939 Ford transmission, a chromed dropped axle, and various accoutrements. My plans came to a complete halt when I got my induction notice to the US Army. I came back home, and my parents had sold it all and handed me a check for $75, and another check for $75 for my mint 1948 Kaiser, which I bought when I was 15 for $25."[1]
