1951 Mercury Convertible restyled by The Ayala Brothers for Al Glickman. The hood was shaved, rounded and peaked. The door handles, embelms and trim were removed and the doors were electrically push-button operated. The Merc featured a new front fender line, which was necessary to conform with the taller 1953 Oldsmobile rear fenders.[1] This modification also allowed them to use 1953 Oldsmobile taillights. The exhaust pipes were routed throug the rear bumper. The windshield was chopped and a nice padded top was installed. Up front the headlights were frenched and tunneled. The gravel shield pan was molded to the body and the rounded grille shell featured a custom grille.[1] Dual spotlights were added.
