1954 Cramer Comet
The Cramer Comet was a Sport Custom Heavily influenced by the 1951 GM LeSabre. The one of a kind, custom bodied car was built by the Omaha based mechanic Tom Cramer. The Cramer Comet was a two-seat high performance passenger car powered by a 12 cylinder WWII Allison aircraft engine producing 1350 hp. The cooling system of the car is channeled through the frame. Tom once stated this about the build: "I wanted to see what would happen if you put a really high-powered engine in a chassis." Tom Cramer owned the car until 1991. In 2008 the second owner is selling the car through RM Auctions, as the car will go on the block on RM Auctions Sports & Classics of Monterey the 15 - 16 th of August.
