San Bernardino Krankers
The San Bernardino Krankers was a car club out of San Bernardino, California. According to the father of hydraulics, Ron Aguirre, the Krankers was the premier car club in San Bernardino County. They were based in the city of Rialto, California. Founded by members out of San Bernardino High School in the late 1940s, the club had about 50 - 75 members. Ron believes the club was disbanded in the late 1970s or early 1980s.[1] They began hosting their annual Krankers Motor Revue shows in 1957.
Marbles
In 2014 George Contaoi told Olav Kvipt of Kustomrama that when the Krankers would embrace new members, each of the members were given a set of marbles, one black and one white. Next they secretly put the marbles in a box, if all the marbles where white, then the new candidate member could join the club as a worthy member. If one or more marbles in the box turned out to be black, then the candidate member would be rejected.[2]
